Searching for your training?
Look no more.
RP Training offers training in all aspects of first aid and resuscitation.
We can offer (in house) training at your premises and often at no extra cost to you. We also offer training on an individual basis where candidates can join one of our pre-arranged courses that run throughout the year.
The benefits to you are a happier workforce who are more comfortable in their own environment and giving you the control over when and where you want the training.
All training is undertaken in a professional manner but made enjoyable and delivered in a non-intimidating way.
We believe that a happy candidate will learn far more if they feel happy and comfortable and not put on the spot if questioned during a training session, although we do fully encourage candidates to take part and ask questions. We will always strive to get the very best from all who attend our courses and use the very latest up to date materials and guidelines.
FIRST AID
Within the UK it is the legal responsibility of companies and organisations to provide an adequate level of first aid cover for their employees and volunteers.
Employers also have an obligation under the Heath and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP L74) to make adequate and appropriate first aid provision for their workforce.
By providing first aid cover it could save a life and more routinely it prevents minor injuries or incidents developing into larger ones also reducing the cost of injuries to a company or an organisation.
.
A First Aider is someone who has attended a Health and Safety Executive approved First Aid at Work training course. The course is delivered over a period of 3 days and is valid for a period of 1 year (this was changed nationally in October 2009).
.
There are two levels of training which are considered appropriate for staff that and can be called upon to deal with an illness, injury or accident - to provide first aid treatment.
These two types of course qualifications are known as First Aiders (More comprehensive 3 Day Course) and Emergency First Aiders (1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work Course).
.
An Emergency Trained Person is someone who has responsibility for dealing with first aid issues in smaller companies and organisations or who assists First Aiders in larger concerns. An Emergency First Aid At Work course (formally known as The Appointed Person course), is delivered over a full day and is also valid for a period of 1 year.
